YOUR BUSINESS The more you can share with me about your business, the products or services you offer, your competitors, what sets your business apart, the challenges your business faces, etc., the better I can understand your business. This in turn enables me to create a website that reflects your business best. Below are a series of questions to help me better understand your business and how I can best incorporate your business needs into the website. What type of business is the website for? Please describe, including the products and services offered. Does this business have an existing website? If so, what is/isn't working for you? If this business has an existing site, please provide the URL.
WEBSITE GOALS It is important to determine what you want to achieve with a new site. There are numerous goals you can focus on with your website. You can aim to enhance the user experience, earn more leads and revenue, increase brand awareness, capture emails or social followers, or get more phone calls to your business. It is important that you establish a goal for your website so I can create a better site for your business. What is your ultimate goal for the site? (improve user experience, increase the number of visitors, increase sales, greater engagement via blog, capture emails or social followers, increase brand visibility, etc.)
TARGET AUDIENCE Identifying your target audience is essential for knowing where to focus your sales and marketing efforts. Understanding who your target customer is and what they care about is paramount to successful marketing. Think about who your best existing customers are and what their shared characteristics are. Who is your target audience and/or ideal customer?

Every company has something unique to offer their customers (a specific product, a specific service, a specific way you do business, etc.) - something that sets you apart from your competitors. This is an important selling factor that we will want to incorporate into or emphasize in the design of your new site. What sets your business apart from your competitors?
WHO ARE YOUR COMPETITORS? You’ll need to think of a short list of competitors that directly impact your business. Please provide their names so I can check out their sites. This will give me an idea of how your competitors’ sites look and how we can produce a site that will help you stand out from the competition. Here is a list of my competitors:
WEBSITE FEATURES It is important that your website incorporates features that will help you achieve your marketing goals. You’ll need to think about how you want your site to look. There are numerous features you can add to engage your audience and keep them interested in your site. Some popular features include email sign-up bars, social media icons, blogs, incorporation of videos, or color choices. For horse and dog breeders, some features may include listings of current stock, progeny pages, sales pages, resources, testimonials, forum, forms, password protected areas, etc. These are all features that have an impact on your audience. It is important that you think about which features are important in the design of your new site. What specific features would you like to include on your website? Do you have any branding materials or style guides that need to be incorporated into the design? Do you have a hard deadline for site completion? If so, please specify. Do you have a budget you are trying to meet? If so, please specify.
