For more than 25 years, photography has been the way I make sense of connection – especially the quiet, powerful bond between animals and the people who love them. While my work has appeared on magazine covers and in print and digital campaigns around the world, what matters most to me is creating something deeply personal: artwork that honors your dog or horse exactly as they are, and what they mean to you.

Dogs and horses have shaped my life for as long as I can remember. They’ve taught me presence, patience, joy, and trust – lessons that influence every session I photograph. My work is less about perfect poses and more about preserving feeling: a glance, a moment of stillness, a burst of joy, a shared breath.

An experience built with intention

Every portrait experience I offer is thoughtfully designed and fully customized.

From destination-inspired dog sessions in beautiful, carefully chosen landscapes to calm, respectful equine portraits, my approach is unhurried and guided with care. I work with natural light, meaningful environments, and space for connection – allowing moments to unfold organically rather than forcing them into a mold.

Each image is crafted with intention, edited with a fine art eye, and delivered as part of a complete story. My goal is always the same: to create timeless artwork that feels honest, expressive, and deeply personal.

Why dogs and horses

Dogs and horses share something extraordinary – an ability to connect without words.

Dogs bring joy, loyalty, and openness into our everyday lives. Horses offer partnership, grounding, and a depth that stays with us long after we leave the barn. Though different in nature, both shape who we are and leave lasting imprints on our hearts.

Photographing them is a privilege I never take lightly.

Beyond the camera

Outside of photography, my life is full and beautifully layered.

I’m married to my childhood sweetheart – the boy who stole my heart when we were just ten years old – and together we’re navigating life with love, resilience, and gratitude. I’m also mom to an incredible daughter, a bright, talented young woman who brings so much joy into my world.

At home, I’m happily outnumbered by our Border Collies who keep life active and entertaining, and my heart is forever tied to my Arabian mare, Emma, whose presence continues to ground and inspire me.

When I’m not photographing, you’ll often find me with a cup of coffee in hand, adventuring with my dogs, spending time with family, or visiting Emma – soaking up the quiet moments that make life feel rich and full.

Why I do this

Because time moves quickly.

Because seasons change.

Because the animals who shape our lives deserve to be remembered with care.

SNIX

"Queen of the Pack"

Snix is the heart of our home.

She's incredibly intelligent, wonderfully athletic, and has a zest for life that amazes me every single day. Whether she's chasing a ball, proudly carrying one of her favorite toys around the yard, or accompanying me on everyday adventures, Snix approaches life with joy and enthusiasm.

She is my constant companion and the definition of loyal. Wherever I go, she's never far behind. She adores people – especially children – and has always been the kind of dog I can trust completely, whether we're hiking a trail, strolling through town, or visiting one of our favorite dog-friendly stores.

Although she never had puppies of her own, Snix has always been the "mother hen" of our family. She's taken Pixel under her wing, gently teaching her the rhythms of life while quietly keeping an eye on everyone else in the pack. Watching their relationship has been one of my greatest joys.

Now approaching her 14th birthday, Snix continues to remind me that age is only a number. She still loves her daily walks, eagerly chases a ball, and greets each day with the same bright spirit she's always had.

She is my once-in-a-lifetime dog.

Beautiful inside and out, she's filled my life with more love than I ever thought possible, and I cherish every single day with her.

TOGO

"The Golden Child"

Togo has the kindest heart.

Affectionately known around our house as "the golden child," he's incredibly affectionate with the people he loves and has a quiet sensitivity that makes him who he is. He doesn't need to be everyone's best friend – he simply pours his whole heart into the people who are his.

His bond with my husband, Skye, is something truly special. Through Skye's ongoing health challenges, Togo has rarely been far from his side, offering quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and the kind of comfort only a devoted dog can give.

As beautiful as Togo is, it's his gentle soul that people remember most. Those ice-blue eyes have a way of melting hearts, and yes... they occasionally earn him a few extra privileges around our house.

Over the past year, we've begun learning agility foundations together, and watching his confidence grow has been so rewarding. He's thoughtful, eager to learn, and happiest when we're working as a team.

Togo may not be a dog who seeks the spotlight, but to us, he's absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about him.

PIXEL

"Baby Doll"

We certainly weren't planning on adding another puppy to the family, but the moment I met Pixel at just four weeks old (and again at six weeks!), she chose me. With her dad being a littermate to our beloved Snix, it felt as though she was always meant to find her way into our lives.

Affectionately known as "Baby Doll" because of her dainty, expressive face, Pixel has grown into an incredible young Border Collie. She's athletic, intelligent, endlessly curious, and approaches every new adventure with enthusiasm. Whether we're out exploring, playing ball, or learning agility foundations together, she's always eager to discover what's next.

One of the things I love most about Pixel is her thoughtful nature. She notices everything. Before rushing into something new, she'll stop, watch, and quietly take it all in. It's one of the many qualities that makes her such a joy to photograph and live with.

Despite her love of adventure, she's still the same affectionate girl who melts into belly rubs, happily curls up for snuggles, and reminds me every day why she earned the nickname "Baby Doll."

She fills my heart with laughter, keeps me on my toes, and makes every day just a little brighter. I truly can't imagine life without her.

RUGBY

"Big Fluffy"

November 8, 2012 - October 13, 2025

Forever in our hearts and our fondest memories.

Rugby never quite realized he was supposed to grow up.

No matter how many birthdays came and went, he greeted each day with the enthusiasm of a puppy. Whether he was carrying around one of his favorite toys, asking for belly rubs, or bouncing through the yard with that unmistakable fluffy coat, life was simply meant to be enjoyed.

As a young puppy, Rugby suffered a spiral fracture to one of his hind legs. Most dogs would have let that slow them down.

Rugby never got that memo.

His joyful spirit, playful personality, and determination carried him through life with a smile that never seemed to fade.

People noticed his beautiful, iconic black-and-white coat wherever we went, but those of us who knew him best remember something far more special – his heart.

Rugby loved everyone. He welcomed every new friend as if they'd known each other forever and had a way of making people smile simply by being himself.

He taught me that joy doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like a wagging tail. A favorite toy. Or a fluffy Border Collie who never stopped believing every day held another adventure.

Rugby will always be part of our family, and while our hearts still miss him every single day, the love, laughter, and memories he gave us will stay with us forever.

EMMA

Emma is my beautiful Arabian mare and a soul horse in every sense of the word. She came into my life as a foal, full of fire and spirit, and over the years, we’ve built an unbreakable bond rooted in trust, patience, and deep understanding.

Emma embodies everything I love about horses – her intelligence, grace, and sensitivity make her a joy to work with, and her sweet, affectionate nature always brings a smile to my face. Though she’s now living with her "Yaya Karin" receiving daily love and care, she remains an incredibly special part of my heart and my journey.

Horses have been woven into my life since childhood, and Emma has played a defining role in that passion. She reminds me every day why I fell in love with horses in the first place – their ability to teach, to heal, and to form a bond like no other.
